Description
Volunteering Session – Botanical Survey and Habitat Enhancement Walk
2 August 2026*
*Please note this is a Sunday
2 pm – 4 pm
About the Botanical Survey and Habitat Enhancement Walk
Join professional botanist Jane Southey for a guided survey of Whistlewood’s habitats.
This is a chance to take a closer look at the plants and habitats already present across the site and understand what they tell us about the health and potential of the landscape. Jane will lead a walk around the Common, identifying key species, assessing habitat quality, and helping us understand where we can enhance biodiversity further.
The survey findings will help inform future management decisions and habitat enhancement projects, ensuring we focus our efforts where they will have the greatest benefit for wildlife.
Open to everyone – no botanical knowledge required. Just bring suitable footwear and be prepared for a walk around the site.
If you have any questions or would like to come please email mailto:admin@whistlewoodcommon.org
