Apple Press Hire

Whistlewood has an Apple press that is available for hire during August, September and October of each year.

The kit includes the main press, a scratter (for breaking up the fruit into a pulp) and juice bags.

It costs £20 to hire for a day and a Whistlewood volunteer will show you how the Apple Press operates when you collect it from site.

Alternatively, for smaller amounts of apples you could bring the Apples to Whistlewood on a Friday, between the hours of 11.30 and 2.30 pm and a volunteer will show you how to operate the press.  The charge for this would be £15.

Please note that although it is described as an Apple Press other fruit such as grapes, pears etc can be processed through it.

Please put the date of hire into the Notes section when completing the payment process so that we can marry up your booking with the payment.

Once we have received payment we will confirm your booking by email

Cancellation Policy

We accept bookings in advance for our Apple press.  If  you need to cancel and it  is less than two weeks before the hire then we cannot refund the hire cost. Anything more than two weeks we would refund all the hire costs in full.
