About the Tealights Workshop
Now that the nights are starting to draw in it’s the perfect time to turn down the lights and enjoy the comforts of home. During this 1 day workshop you will create one or more tealight holders. Glass is particularly beautiful when lit so what a lovely way to bring some warmth into your home.
We will be using the Tiffany method of stained glass using copper foil (instead of lead). You will be provided with a selection of designs to choose from, or you can design your own. Throughout the day you will be shown and learn how to cut glass, apply copper foil and solder to make one or more free standing pieces.
Copper foiling is a very versatile technique allowing you to make more intricate patterns with the possibility of making 3D elements and adding wire and beading to your creation.
Refreshments and materials are included in the price. Please bring a packed lunch.
This is a technique that can be enjoyed by everyone. Some strength in the wrists is required so should you have any concerns please discuss this as adaptations can be made.
Please wear old clothes and closed toe shoes. All safety equipment will be provided.
