Roundhouse and Site Hire

Just as a reminder our Roundhouse has a log burner for heat/warming up food with a warming oven and large hob top.

It is fully furnished with tables and chairs. We generally keep 20 chairs in the Roundhouse. If you think your event will require more please let us know – we do have more!

2024 Roundhouse Prices:

Weekdays (Member) – £10 per hour, £60 per day (a day is considered to be an event which is 6 hours in length). If you are holding an event which is longer than this then please revert to £12 per hour)

Weekdays (Non-Member) – £14 per hour, £85 per day (a day is considered to be an event which is 6 hours in length). If you are holding an event which is longer than this then please revert to £15 per hour)

Weekends/Bank Holidays (Member)– £14 per hour, £85 per day (a day is considered to be 6 hours in length. If you are holding an event which is longer than this then please revert to £15 per hour).

Weekends/Bank Holidays (Non-Member)– £18 per hour, £110 per day (a day is considered to be 6 hours in length. If you are holding an event which is longer than this then please revert to £18 per hour).

These prices include wood for the woodburner if required and access to our kitchen equipped for all your catering needs (and of course our toilets!).

For parties and private hires please estimate the amount of time you would need to set up and clear up at the end of your hire and include this in your hire price. For educational events and meetings etc we do not charge for setting up and clearing up time (but please let us know how long you require for this so we can schedule in the time).

If you have checked dates with us and agreed the price please pay above. As an example, you are holding a party/family gathering  in the Roundhouse at the weekend: you would like the party to be 3 hours in length and allow one hour for setting up and half an hour for clearing up so that is 4.5 hours of total hire of the Roundhouse. You are a Member! That is 4.5 x £14 = £63.

We normally require payment in advance to secure your booking. If your booking fee is less than £50 we would require the full payment up front to secure your booking. If is is greater than £50 you can pay a deposit of half the cost with the other half being payable no later than 2 weeks before the event. If you would like to pay the whole amount upfront you are welcome to do so. If the booking is a month or less from the event date then we would require full payment at the time of booking.

The following is our Cancellation Policy:

If you have booked the Roundhouse for a party/family gathering or similar event and need to cancel the booking you can do so up to a month before the event is due to take place and we will refund your payment in full minus a £15 admin fee. We will ask at the time if you wish us to hold your payment for another event such as a similar booking at a later date, Children’s Party hire, Yurt Hire or something of a similar value. This is entirely optional.

If you cancel less than a month before the event, then your deposit payment or the full payment that you have made will not be refundable. However, we will offer you a similar booking date, Children’s Party hire, Yurt Hire or something of a similar value. This offer of alternate hire would need to be taken within a year of your original booking date. You will need to let us know how you would like to proceed within a week of cancelling otherwise our offer of alternate hire will be withdrawn.

For Meetings and educational events you would need to refer to us for our cancellation policy.

If you have all the information you need and are ready to book your event at Whistlewood please enter the agreed price/deposit amount in the box above. Please ensure that you provide us with your mobile phone number on entering all your personal data so we can send you a temporary code for our gates (closer to the event date). Could you also please put the date of the hire in the order notes at the bottom of the bookings page so that we can match up your payment to your booking.
