Camping and Yurt Hire

Current (2024) Prices per night:

Camping/Campervan pitch – Monday – Thursday – £10: Member, £14: Non Member

Camping/Campervan pitch – Friday, Saturday and Bank Holiday Sundays – £14 Member, £18 Non-Member

Yurt Hire – Monday-Thursday – £40: Member, £50: Non-Member

Yurt Hire – Friday/Saturday/Bank Holiday Sundays – £50: Member, £60 Non-Member

Exclusive Overnight Hire – This package includes use of our Yurt and up to 7 tents and/or camper vans. If you are not going to use our Yurt you can pitch up to 11 tents and/or camper vans. If you want to have more tents/campervans then we would charge per tent/campervan at the prices outlined above.

Exclusive Overnight Hire Prices:

Weekday – Sunday – Thursday

£140 – Non-Member

£110 – Member

Weekend – Friday, Saturday, Bank Holiday Sunday

£200 – Non-Member

£140 – Member

The rate quoted above  can be paid in instalments if booked in advance (usually no more than 2 but please enquire). If the booking is made less than a month before then full payment will be required to secure a booking.

Hire times: 4.30 pm to 10.30 am. If you would like to extend your stay at Whistlewood please let us know and we can see if this can be accomodated. It maybe that you would like to turn up earlier than 4.30 and/or stay on site later than 10.30. We would give you a quote for your extended stay.

If you are booking the Yurt you would just need to bring the bedding for the bed and any additional blow-up/camp beds you require.

What do I need to be aware of in regards to my stay?

To fit in with our ethos we encourage you to think about how you will minimise rubbish during your hire, we do not have a rubbish collection so any rubbish produced will need to be taken off site.

If you are having a celebration overnight party, we are more than happy for you to decorate the shelter. We discourage the use of balloons on site  because of their effect on wildlife but do encourage the use of lots of paper decorations!

We have a rainwater collection system but recommend that all water is boiled before drinking. You may wish to bring some drinking water for your hire.

There are no showers at Whistlewood – if you are staying longer than one night and feel you would need it please bring washing equipment.

 

Once dates and details are agreed we will direct you to this page to pay.

We normally require payment in advance to secure your booking. If your booking fee is less than £50 we would require the full payment up front to secure your booking. If is is greater than £50 you can pay a deposit of half the cost with the other half being payable approximately 2 weeks before the event. If you would like to pay the whole amount upfront you are welcome to do so. If the booking is a month or less from the event date then we would require full payment at the time of booking.

The following is our Cancellation Policy:

If you have need to cancel your booking you can do so up to a month before the event is due to take place and we will refund your payment in full minus a £15 admin fee if you have booked Yurt Hire or £50 if you have booked exclusive hire. We will ask at the time if you wish us to hold your payment for another event such as a similar booking at a later date, Children’s Party hire, Yurt Hire or something of a similar value. This is entirely optional.

If you cancel less than a month before the event, then your deposit payment or the full payment that you have made will not be refundable. However, we will offer you a similar booking date, Children’s Party hire, Yurt Hire or something of a similar value. This offer of alternate hire would need to be taken within a year of your original booking date. You will need to let us know how you would like to proceed within a week of cancelling otherwise our offer of alternate hire will be withdrawn.

Please enter the agreed price/deposit amount in the box above. Please ensure that you provide us with your mobile phone number on entering all your personal data so we can send you a temporary code for our gates (closer to the event date). Could you also please put the date of the hire in the order notes at the bottom of the bookings page so that we can match up your payment to your booking.

We understand that at the time of booking you may not know how many tents are likely to make up your party so we are happy that you may need to pay for additional tents at a later date. This you can do through the shop too. The first payment would form a deposit.
