Apple Press Hire

Whistlewood has an Apple press that is available for hire during September and October of each year.

It costs £20 to hire and it is required that you bring your fruit to the Apple Press at Whistlewood to one of our Fortnightly volunteering sessions. A Whistlewood volunteer will then show you how the Apple Press operates.

The kit includes the main press, a scratter (for breaking up the fruit into a pulp) and juice bags.

For 2025: dates to be published.

Please note that although it is described as an Apple Press other fruit such as grapes, pears etc can be processed through it.

Please put the date of hire into the Notes section when completing the payment process so that we can marry up your booking with the payment.

Once we have received payment we will confirm your booking by email

Cancellation Policy

We accept bookings in advance for our Apple press.  If  you need to cancel and it  is less than two weeks before the hire then we cannot refund the hire cost. Anything more than two weeks we would refund all the hire costs in full.
