About the Leaded Glass Suncatcher Workshop
During this one day workshop you will learn how to create a leaded glass suncatcher measuring approximately 15 cm x 15 cm suitable for display both indoors or outdoors.
Along the way you encounter every stage of traditional stained glass making, including cutting glass, stretching and cutting lead, soldering, cementing and cleaning; transforming pieces of coloured glass into stunning light-filled creations.
Suitable for all abilities you will be supported throughout. All tools and materials are provided on the day, including a selection of designs based upon the theme of woodland animals.
There will also be a wide choice of glass to work with as well as a selection of glass paint to embellish your final design.
Notes:
Because glass is best cut while standing participants should expect to be on their feet for parts of the day.
You will be working with lead throughout so this workshop is not advised if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Please bring your own packed lunch.
We highly recommend Closed-in shoes to be worn.
