About Stained Glass Butterflies and Moths
Copper foiling is an alternative to lead resulting in more delicate, detailed pieces.
During this one-day workshop you will learn the ‘Tiffany’ method to create one or more 3-dimensional figures from a selection of designs/source material.
You will gain an understanding of the materials, tools and learn the essential techniques including, glass selection, cutting, copper foiling and soldering.
Finally, you will then have the opportunity to finish your designs using wirework, beadwork and glass paint.
All tools and materials are provided as well as an ample supply of tea and biscuits! Please bring a packed lunch.
Numbers are kept low (8) to ensure lots of course leader to participant time.
Participants must wear closed shoes due to the tools used. It is also recommended that you wear old clothes or an apron.
